Personal Counseling
Supporting Students' Emotional, Social, and Physical Well-Being
Father Ryan's Personal Counseling Mission
The Personal Counseling Department is a student support program designed to promote social and emotional well-being for students to achieve success in life. Our objective is to provide information and skills that encourage the development of healthy habits and relationships to all students as they navigate their adolescent years. We strive to provide a safe environment where students can develop as a whole person spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.
The Personal Counseling Department is comprised of full-time mental health counselors and master's-level counseling interns from area universities.
Peer Mentor Program for New Students
The Peer Mentor program was developed in 2015 to ease the transition to a new school.
Peer Mentors act as guides and leaders to promote the academic, social, and emotional adjustment of new students.
This program is offered to incoming freshmen from public schools, homeschools, and out-of-state schools, transfer students, and any students who request extra support as they adapt to Father Ryan.
Our Peer Mentors are upperclassmen who have been selected and trained to offer support and guidance to new students through the first semester.
