Father Ryan alumna Sarah Barry ’19 and the Bellarmine University Choir came to campus to perform for some of our choir students in the Chapel of St. James. They performed multiple incredible pieces, including Sarah’s solo of Goodnight Moon while signing the lyrics with American Sign Language. Sarah is graduating from Bellarmine this year with a vocal performance degree, and she is currently performing in a production of Carmina Burana. She will be a part-time Choral Director at Bellarmine in the fall.
At Father Ryan, Sarah participated in all of Mrs. Cox’s choral groups, including Mixed Chamber, Honors Choir, and Show Choir, and served as a student director and vocal captain her Senior year. She was featured in several Purple Masque Player productions, including her role in Cinderella as the Queen for which she was nominated for a Spotlight Award.
When reflecting on Sarah’s time at Father Ryan and where she is now, Mrs. Cox said, “I’m so proud to have played a part in Sarah’s journey. The Father Ryan Singers are proud that she is part of the choir family.”
