Father Ryan High School is proud to announce that Mrs. Ashlee Doyle, mathematics teacher and Varsity Softball Head Coach, will become the school's new Head of Oak House on July 1, 2026.
"I am excited to welcome Ashlee to the Heads of Houses team. Her leadership and experiences on the softball field, in the math classroom, and as a Mentor Group leader will be tremendous assets to our House System. Ashlee has a natural ability to build relationships, foster a sense of belonging, and support students both inside and outside the classroom. I look forward to the energy, perspective, and dedication she will bring to this role and am excited for the positive impact she will have on our students, faculty, and House community," said Director of Houses, Ms. Amy Duke.
Mrs. Doyle came to Father Ryan in 2006 to teach mathematics and to join the Softball coaching staff. She earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics in 2005 and her master's degree in teaching in 2006, both from James Madison University. At Father Ryan, she has taught multiple courses and is currently teaching College Algebra and Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Dual Enrollment College Algebra and Pre-Calculus.
When asked why she wanted to become the Head of Oak House, Mrs. Doyle said, "I am really excited to become the Head of Oak House. I believe the House System allows our students and faculty to form relationships beyond the classroom and allows our students to grow into more leadership roles. As a Head of House, I look forward to helping these relationships flourish so every Oak House member creates core memories throughout their high school years."
Mrs. Doyle will join the current members of House System leadership: Director of Houses Ms. Amy Duke, Head of Elliston House Mr. Patrick Bontrager '08, Head of Emerald House Mr. Jason Larkin, Head of Immaculata House Mr. Doug Bontrager '81, Head of Norwood House Ms. Michelle Mast, and Head of Trinity House Mrs. Kelli McClendon.
Mrs. Natalie Coyne, Oak's Head of House since the founding of the House System in 2020, announced she was stepping down from the position at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and leaving Father Ryan to pursue other opportunities. Following her announcement, the internal search began to find the next Head of Oak House for the 2026-2027 school year.
Thank you to Mrs. Coyne for your service to Oak House, and congratulations, Mrs. Doyle!
