Principal: Mr. Frank Espinosa
Father Ryan High School is pleased to welcome Mr. Frank Espinosa to our community to serve as our new Principal. Mr. Espinosa brings over 30 years of experience as an educator and administrator to Father Ryan. He comes from Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore, Maryland, where he served as Principal. Prior to Mount Saint Joseph, Mr. Espinosa was the Principal and Senior Vice President of Saint Xavier High School in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mr. Espinosa earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Louisville, a Master of Education in Secondary Education and Administration, and a Certification in School Leadership-Principalship, both from Spalding University in Louisville.

Bumpus has 35+ years of progressive experience serving Fortune 500 healthcare and retail organizations with ultimate accountability for a variety of business functions. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for LifePoint Health, a national provider of community-based hospital and healthcare services in growing regions and non-urban communities. He is currently on the Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of Tennessee College of Arts and Sciences and has served as a Board Member of Father Ryan High School since 2016. He is a past Board Member of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle TN, United Way of Williamson County, TN, St. Bernard Academy Elementary School, and several other community organizations. Bumpus earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and has completed numerous advanced corporate and academic management programs.
Glascoe, a former President/Chair of the Father Ryan Board, retired from the Diocese of Nashville in 2020 after 40 years of service in a variety of administrative positions, including heading the diocesan refugee resettlement program, the St. Mary Villa Child Development Center, Villa Maria Manor, the St. Henry Property Development Corporation, and Mary, Queen of Angels. Currently, he handles special projects for the diocese. He graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in philosophy and earned his master’s degree in educational psychology at Vanderbilt University.
Callahan’s company, Copperweld Bi-Metallics, is the manufacturer of copper-clad steel and copper-clad aluminum for applications like power, rail, and automotive. They are sold throughout the U.S. and in the U.K. Callahan graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Accounting in 1983 and earned his M.B.A from the Wharton School of Business in 1989.
Griffith has been the owner and Managing Broker of Avenue Real Estate since 2015. In addition to her service on the Father Ryan Board of Trustees, she was on the 2015-2017 Greater Nashville Realtors (GNAR) Board of Directors, is the past Habitat for Humanity chair and past Young Professional Chair (YPN) for GNAR, and is a past volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a degree in marketing.
Stejskal serves as the Vice President of Human Resources for SMS Holdings Corp, a national company in the retail, hospitality, and health care fields, based in Nashville. He serves on the Board of Directors for Mary, Queen of Angels Assisted Living and on the Executive Advisory Board for the University of South Alabama Mitchell College of Business, from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Transportation and Logistics. He has served as Chairman of the Christ the King School Board, President of the Father Ryan High School Alumni Association, and is the immediate past President/Chair of the Father Ryan Board of Trustees.
Reverend Bolster attended the Catholic University of America before entering seminary at the Pontifical North American College. After earning a Bachelor of Sacred Theology (S.T.B.) and a License of Sacred Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, he was ordained to the priesthood in 2019. He became Chaplain of University Catholic in 2022, alongside his role as Episcopal Master of Ceremonies.
Wesnofske is a principal with Sunrise Contracting, a major Middle Tennessee excavation and site development company. He has more than 30 years of construction experience, including a significant presence in various diocesan building projects at Father Ryan, Christ the King, St. Michael Academy, and more. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Western Kentucky University.
Mattingly, a principal at Mattingly and Company, has extensive experience in various professional enterprises with a decided focus on healthcare. He was the founding member of the Board and a Life Member of Saint Bernard Academy. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in History and Political Science, he is a member of the Advisory Board for the College of Arts and Sciences at UT.
Wright’s firm provides investment services to small and mid-sized charitable organizations. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in finance from Seton Hall University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Rochester, he served as Vice Chancellor for Investments and Chief Investment Officer of Vanderbilt University and the Director of Investments at Emory University.
Director of Campus Ministry and Student Life: Mr. John Michael Simpson
Father Ryan High School is pleased to welcome Mr. John Michael Simpson as our new Director of Campus Ministry and Student Life. Mr. Simpson comes to us from St. Cecilia Academy where he served as the Vice Principal of Student Life, Mission Outreach, and Faculty. Prior to St. Cecilia, Mr. Simpson was a Campus Minister, Athletics Event Coordinator, and Religion Teacher at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis.
Mr. Simpson earned his Bachelor of Arts in Humanities at Pontifical College Josephinum, his Master of Arts in Theological Studies at Christendom Graduate School, and his Master of Education in Independent School Leadership at Vanderbilt University.
Director of Enrollment: Mrs. Erin (Baltz) Riggs '00
Father Ryan High School is pleased to name Mrs. Erin Riggs as our new Director of Enrollment. Mrs. Riggs, a 2000 graduate of Father Ryan, has been serving as the Associate Director of Admissions of Father Ryan since 2014.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and her Master of Science in Teacher Education with a concentration in Secondary Education from the University of Tennessee.
Chaplain: Father Anh Tuan Phan
Father Ryan High School is pleased to welcome Father Anh Tuan Phan as our new Chaplain. Father Phan previously served as the Associate Pastor of the Cathedral of the Incarnation.
Father Phan was born in Vietnam and graduated from Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. He was ordained by Bishop Spalding on June 30, 2018.
