Ann Mullins was named Director of Athletics for Father Ryan in 2020. Under her leadership, the Irish have had notable success, including a 2020 Girls Soccer State Championship, 2021 Boys Soccer State Runners Up, 2020 Boys and Girls Cross Country Runners Up, and 8 Final Four Appearances. Coach Mullins has served as the Irish head Volleyball Coach since 2016. During her tenure, the Irish won two region championships and appeared in four final four state championships with a 3rd place finish in 2021.
A Nashville native and fourth-generation alumna of Father Ryan, Ann played volleyball all four years leading the team to 3 state tournament berths. She was a Tennessean All-Midstate and All-State player for two consecutive years. She also played basketball for Father Ryan and helped her team gain a state tournament final four berth her senior year.
Ann earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Child and Family Studies from Lipscomb University and became the All-Time Dig Leader at both Lipscomb and the Atlantic Sun Conference as well as Libero of the Year in 2005. She went on to earn a master’s degree in Learning and Teaching with an emphasis on Education from Lipscomb University. While coaching volleyball at Siegel, Ann was honored as the Daily News Journal Coach of the Year 2009-2010 and in 2021 DII AA Region Coach of the Year. In 2019 she was inducted into the Atlantic Sun Conference Hall of Fame and in 2021 she was the first Division I player inducted into the Lipscomb University Hall of Fame.
She is thankful for the many great coaches she’s had throughout her time as a student athlete and loves to give back to all student athletes through her continued coaching and leadership of the Athletics Department at Father Ryan.
