Giving Opportunities

We are grateful for your interest in supporting Father Ryan through a financial contribution. Just as our continued legacy of faith, knowledge, service hinges upon the diligence of our faculty, staff and students, so too, our faculty, staff and students depend upon the alliance of alumni, parents, and friends who continue to support the school and advance our mission with their generosity.

Our Advancement staff is pleased to work with you in structuring gift opportunities that ensure your philanthropic goals are met while best supporting the needs of the school. Father Ryan is a 501(c)(3) organization and as such contributions to the school are tax-deductible upon compliance with the Internal Revenue Code. If you would like to speak with a member of the Advancement team regarding your gift, please contact our Director of Advancement at (615) 269-7926.

  • Annual Fund

Donations to the Father Ryan Annual Fund have a direct impact on the daily life of the school by providing general operating support that impacts every student, every day. Father Ryan tuition covers 81% of what it costs to educate a student. The Annual Fund helps to fill the gap. Make a gift today!
  • Father Ryan Athletic Association

The Father Ryan Athletic Association provides our parents, alumni, faculty and staff, and friends the opportunity to be involved in Irish athletics, as volunteers, as financial supporters and as fans.

Everyone who makes an unrestricted gift to the Annual Fund in support of Father Ryan athletics in the amount of $100 or more is offered membership in the Father Ryan Athletic Association. Join the Father Ryan Athletic Association today!
  • Honorariums/Memorials

Consider a gift to Father Ryan in honor or in memory of a loved one. Make a gift today!
  • Endowment/Scholarships

While the Annual Fund might be thought of as the "checking account" for day-to-day operations, the Endowment Fund would be the "savings account." The Endowment Fund ensures that Father Ryan has a permanent source of operating revenue. Gifts are made to the school and only the earnings are applied to expenses.

The Endowment Fund for tuition assistance is a permanent source of financial aid to Father Ryan students. Within the Endowment, individual funds have been established by generous benefactors in order to support Father Ryan in perpetuity. Gifts are made to the school and families are awarded need-based financial aid from the earnings each year.

These are opportunities for you and your family to invest in the ministry of Catholic education while helping subsidize a student's tuition. Your gift assists us in shaping a strong future for Father Ryan and helps us to meet the financial needs of a diverse student body.

A named Endowed Fund is established with a gift or pledge of $50,000 or more. The school will invest the gift in the Father Ryan High School Endowment Fund and the earnings from the interest will be used annually for student assistance in accordance with the provisions of the fund. Additional funding can be added to the principal at any time, thereby increasing the amount of the award. A percentage of the Endowment Fund at Father Ryan is paid out each year to cover various operating expenses.

If you would like to contribute to a fund or establish a new fund, please contact the Advancement Office at (615) 269-7926.
  • Legacy Gala

For more than three decades, Father Ryan’s Legacy Gala raises funds to benefit our students and faculty. • Buy a Brick

In August 2009, Father Ryan High School opened it’s first-ever stadium. The Jim Carell Alumni Complex is a resource for the Father Ryan community in all seasons from football games, to Relay for Life and summer camps. Bricks are used to create a Memorial SEARCH Cross monument inside Giacosa Stadium.

    • Elliston Place Brick ($500): Bricks from the Elliston Place campus are used to create the Jerusalem SEARCH cross.
    • Brick Paver ($250): Pavers make up the background of the Jerusalem SEARCH cross.
    • Builder's Row ($1,000): Special bricks are used to construct the Builder's Row on the main foundation wall of Giacosa Stadium.
Honor a friend, teacher or alum by creating your own message to be engraved on any of these bricks. Your message can include up to three lines with 14 characters (including spaces) per line. Click here to download the order form.
