The declining balance account can be used for a la carte dining hall purchases. Students can use these declining balance funds for any food items at any time of the day food is offered in the dining hall- whether it’s a quick juice of breakfast bar before school, a chicken biscuit at break, anything ala carte at his/her lunch time, or even a Powerade after school on their way to band or sports practice. Adding money to your student’s declining balance account is easy. The student can stop by the Spirit Store (located across from the Chapel of St. James) anytime Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and add funds (cash or check) directly to your student’s account by scanning their ID cards. These funds will be available for use immediately with cash or check transactions. Additionally, you may add funds to your student’s declining balance account online by setting up an account at mySchoolBucks.com
MySchoolBucks.com is an online system that will allow you to make deposits into your student's school meal account. At mySchoolBucks.com, you can also set up a low-balance reminder to alert you when funds are getting low. In addition, you can also monitor your student's account balance and view your their cafeteria purchases. Money deposited into mySchoolBucks.com will usually arrive at the school by the next morning. Many of our students also bring their lunches regularly, and the declining balance account is a great option for these students to buy a little something extra every now and then, or for them to purchase their lunch if they left it at home.
