Brian Rector

Football Coach
First-year head coach of the football team, Brian Rector joins us from Centennial High School, where he amassed a 41-20 record and led his team to the D-5A semifinal game last season. Overall, he has built a career record of 84-42 in his 10 years of coaching. Rector also coached at Ravenwood and led the boys to a state title the same year that he was named Tennessee Coach of the Year. Along with coaching football at Father Ryan, Coach Rector will also serve on the faculty teaching social sciences. Mr. Rector earned both his Bachelor of Science from Bellarmine University in 1996 and his Master of Arts in History and Secondary Education from Western Kentucky University 2000. Mr. Rector is from Kentucky and played both football and baseball all through high school. He says his coaches during this time had a large impact on him and drew him to coaching. He was awarded the 2005 and 2015 Region Coach of the Year, the 2005 Tennessee Sports Writers Coach of the Year, and the Tennessee Titans Coach of the Week in 2004, 2005, 2008, and 2015.
