    Catholic Schools Week

For one week in late January and early February, Father Ryan High School will join Catholic schools across the nation to celebrate the prosperity of Catholic Schools and the benefits of Catholic education on our nation during Catholic Schools Week.

Hosted annually by the National Catholic Education Association, this week gives us a chance to honor our students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff for their dedication to Catholic education. We will also celebrate our 92-year history with various events throughout the week.

This year, the national theme for Catholic Schools Week is "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service", a mantra that corresponds with one of our very own. As we continue to live out this tradition, we pray in gratitude for our alumni and the former faculty and staff members of Father Ryan High School who have laid the foundation upon which we walk today.

Stay tuned to our website and to FacebookTwitter and Instagram for updates from and information on our Catholic School Week events!

    Mother-Daughter Retreat

Much like a mother's love, God's love for us is an ever-present love that carries us through every stage of our lives, in good times and in bad.

Join us at our second annual Mother-Daughter Retreat, where we will discuss the topic of "Courageous Heart," led by Father Ryan's Dean of Campus Ministry and Student Life Elizabeth Coyle '02 and Chaplain Fr. Gervan Menezes.

Join us on Saturday, February 11 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The day will begin with Mass in the Chapel of St. James on campus, followed by a breakfast and our speakers in the Father Ryan Dining Hall. The cost is $25 per family.

    Legacy Gala

On February 25, 2017, Robin Dieterich ’73, one of the school’s longest serving faculty members and one of its most successful coaches, will be saluted and applauded as our Legacy Gala Honoree for all he has done for Father Ryan.

He has taught English and coached the Varsity and Junior Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer teams at the school since 1978 with the exception of a brief six-year period when he taught at Brentwood High. His boys teams have claimed the State Championship on five occasions and his girls teams have won the title four times.

But you can’t separate Robin from the soccer pitch, so in addition to saluting him for his service in and out of the classroom, Father Ryan will also honor the school’s highly successful soccer program, which Coach Dieterich helped institute as a player at Father Ryan from 1972-1973.
