The Purple Masque Players

Father Ryan gives its students a breadth of opportunities to participate in theatre, from behind the scenes to on-stage. Students may take courses in theatre and/or join the Purple Masque Players, Father Ryan's theatrical performance group currently in its 90th year. In addition to the theatre classes, our theatre program has welcomed the touring groups from Wicked, The Lion King, Anything Goes and many others to instruct our students in masterclasses.

Each year, the Purple Masque Players perform one play and one musical. The theatrical productions vary in scope, but are all challenging and fun to perform. See below for a list of Purple Masque Players productions since 2010.

2010-2011: Sing Down The Moon and Once on This Island
2011-2012: A Midsummer Nights Dream and Cinderella
2012-2013: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and Godspell
