Father Ryan Inducts Inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame Class

In a packed Catignani-Drennan Fieldhouse with over 500 members of the Father Ryan community present, the Father Ryan Athletics Department proudly inducted 50 members - 43 individuals and seven teams - into the inaugural class of the Father Ryan Athletics Hall of Fame last Thursday.
"This is a historic day for Father Ryan," said Interim Director of Athletics Ann Mullins '03. "Our athletic history is nearly a century in the making, and there are so many worthy individuals who deserve recognition and celebration."

On a gorgeous late-summer evening, some of the most noteworthy names in Father Ryan history made their way across the stage to receive their commemorative plaque and pin, including Lou Graham '56, winner of the 1975 U.S. Open, and Boots Donnelly '61, longtime MTSU football coach who is already inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

"This is one of the most exciting days in my time with Father Ryan," said President Jim McIntyre. "To not only celebrate these individuals but to get this group together on campus is truly an honor. It's a historic night to be Irish."
