Big win for Irish Hockey 4-3 over Ensworth-Nolensville

The Irish hockey team won in dramatic fashion yesterday evening at Ford Ice Center. Facing 0-2 and 2-3 deficits, the Irish battled back to beat Ensworth-Nolensville 4-3 to improve to 2-0 on the season. Following a sluggish start, Brendan Huff righted the ship by throwing the puck at the net and notching his first goal of the season. Adding an assist later in the game, Brendan earned the coaching staff's game puck for his efforts. Late in the third period, junior Xavier Tanner slid home a shorthanded goal to knot the game at 3 late in the third period. Then, with two minutes to go, senior John "T-Money" Timoney joined the offensive rush, dove for a loose puck, and swatted home the game-winning goal for the team. For his heroics, John was honored by his teammates as their "Player of the Game."
