For our 97-year history, Father Ryan graduates have attended the nation’s finest colleges and universities while representing our mission, Faith, Knowledge, Service, in all aspects of their lives. They have built an incredible legacy and will always be known and loved at Father Ryan.

The Class of 2022 was no exception. Members of the class were admitted to 175 unique institutions and will attend 61 different colleges and universities across 24 states.

Scholarships offered total more than $24 million, averaging more than $119,000 per graduate.

Below is an interactive map of all the schools members of the Class of 2022 planned to attend upon graduation. Each crest represents a different university, and the number of Irish attending that institution can be found by clicking on the crest. 

Meet the 2022 Valedictorian: Clara Johnson

Father Ryan is pleased to announce that the valedictorian for the Class of 2022 is Clara Leland Johnson. While enrolled at Father Ryan, Clara has taken 7 AP courses and holds a current 100.7742 weighted GPA. Clara has been inducted into the National Honor Society, the Cum Laude Society, La Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, Cardinal Newman Society, Thespian Honor Society, National Speech and Debate Association, Tri-M Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, and Father Black Honor Society.

Clara has received the Colonna Club Nashville Literary Award, AP Scholar Award, and has received recognition for the Tennessee Midstate Choir; along with many class awards for highest grade average. She has placed 1st in Dramatic Interpretation in the Speech, Acting and Debate District III Championship this year and has received several honors for her performances in past competitions. Clara was also part of the Relay for Life Committee when they won the Pat Flynn Spirit of Relay Award.

Meet the 2022 Salutatorian: Catherine Scott

Father Ryan is pleased to announce that the Salutatorian for the Class of 2022 is Catherine Clara Scott. While enrolled at Father Ryan, Catherine has taken 9 AP courses and holds a current 100.5238 weighted GPA. Catherine has been inducted into the National Honor Society, St. Vincent de Paul Service Society, International Thespian Honor Society, Tri-M Honor Society, La Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, Mu Alpha Theta, and Cum Laude Society.

Catherine has been recognized as a Father James Black Award for Excellence Finalist and has received the Monsignor Pat Connor Award and Scholarship. She has held several leadership roles including Relay for Life Team Captain and Committee Member, Development Director, and most recently, Co-Captain. Catherine has been cross country captain, show choir dance captain, Vice President of the Spanish Honor Society, President of the Spanish Honor Society, and Secretary of the National Honor Society.
