“Let us encourage the generosity which is typical of the young and help them to work actively in building a better world. Young people are a powerful engine for the Church and for society.”
Faith Life at Father Ryan
At Father Ryan High School, students are immersed fully into a life of faith as our mission is realized daily. We challenge students to grow spiritually, academically and personally while providing a solid foundation in the Catholic tradition. Regardless of a student’s faith background, he or she is invited into deeper relationship with God both in and out of the classroom.
Theological courses are based upon the curriculum designed by the USCCB, The Doctrinal Elements of a Curriculum Framework for the Development of Catechetical Materials for Young People of High School Age.
Outside of the classroom, students encounter Christ in a myriad of ways. The Office of Campus Ministry and Student Life invites students into a life of faith. Daily Mass before school, regular prayer, opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, weekly occasions for service in the community, pastoral support and spiritual direction, retreats, and mission trips all facilitate spiritual growth. These opportunities and more all help students embody our mission: to be an experience of the living Gospel in our world.
