Why Arts: The Arts4Life Series presented by Father Ryan

This series explores the positive impact that creative and performing arts have on a individual. It will also focus on using arts for good in the world, and how letting go of obstacles enables you to step into the role God has in store for you. 

These events, located in the Center for the Arts, are all free and open to the public!

    Father Ryan's Visual and Performing Arts Department will host acclaimed Nashville actress Nan Gurley at the January Why Arts? program at Father Ryan. The event takes place on January 29 at 6:30pm in the Center for the Arts.

    Ms. Gurley is best known for her extensive work on the local stage in roles such Mama Rose in Gypsy, Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie, Mrs. Beaver in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, the Witch in Into the Woods, Carlotta in Phantom and Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly!

    Ms. Gurley will perform, speak on her career as a working and touring actress, and answer questions from the audience.
