The Father Ryan Singers

Father Ryan encourages its students to develop their musical abilities through several avenues, including choral programs. The school offers courses to develop vocal and performance skills and through these courses, students travel and perform in concerts throughout the country. Beginners and advanced courses are available. The Father Ryan Singers are known for their excellence nationally and across the region in many styles. The Father Ryan Singers are made up of a Chamber Choir and a Show Choir.

The Father Ryan Singers Chamber Choir is a performance group that performs a variety of styles from several periods of music history. The Father Ryan Singers sing in Mass, compete and perform in music festivals, perform in concert at school and in the community. The Father Ryan Singers Chamber Choir members perform a variety of styles from many different time periods.

The Father Ryan Singers Show Choir is an auditioned performance group that performs a variety of commercial styles, including vocal jazz, gospel, pop, country and rock and roll.

Awards and Accolades

The Father Ryan Singers have performed throughout the United States in concert and festival competitions. Some performances include Carnegie Hall in New York City, The Tennessee Governor’s Mansion, Saratoga Springs Resort, Disney World and Six Flags Georgia. The choir has received many awards in regional festivals, including the MTVA Choral Festival where they have received many Superior and Excellent Ratings. Members of the Father Ryan Singers are consistently chosen for National Honors Choir, All State Chorus, Mid State Chorus and Freshman Honors Choir. In addition, some students have had the unique opportunity of singing on recording projects for Musical Theater International and Broadway Disney recordings. Every year, students earn choral and vocal scholarships to college and Father Ryan Singers alumni can be found at some of the best collegiate music programs in the country.
