Sarah Wilkinson '13, who was one of the managers on the Girl's Basketball Team while at Father Ryan, is working as a Special Assistant on Coach Kara Lawson's Duke Women's Basketball Team's coaching staff. 

Sarah's basketball coaching and operations career is already a decorated one. She heads to Duke University from the NBA, where she was with the Milwaukee Bucks as a basketball operations intern. The Bucks finished as one of the top teams in the NBA, and Sarah worked with Head Coach Mike Budenholzer, who was named the NBA's Coach of the Year for the 2018-2019 season. 

A 2017 University of Tennessee-Knoxville graduate in Sport Management and a 3-year student manager for the Lady Vols, Sarah earned her Master's in Sport Management: Law at the University of Florida. During her time in graduate school, she served as a graduate assistant for the Lady Gators as well.

Alyssa Bonagura ’06 has music in her blood. The daughter of successful country artists Michael Bonagura and Kathie Baillie, Bonagura has made a name for herself as a singer-songwriter here in Nashville. She has written songs with Michelle Branch, Hunter Hayes, JD Souther, and many others. One of her songs, "I Make My Own Sunshine" was featured in a Lowe’s commercial, earning over 50,000 downloads in its first 3 months and over 1 million plays on Spotify. The song was later recorded by Steven Tyler on his debut #1 billboard Country album. As a singer, her duo, The Sisterhood, recently signed with Sony Music Nashville and just returned from the U.K. where they opened for Rod Stewart’s 10-city stadium tour.

Erin Davie ’95, who is currently starring as Camilla Parker Bowles in the Broadway production of Diana: A New Musical, has appeared on stage throughout the country as well as on television with appearances that include Law and Order: SVU, The Good Wife and Orange is the New Black.

Broadway credits include: the aforementioned Diana, the revival of Sunday in the Park with George, Grey Gardens, Curtains (with David Hyde Pierce) and A Little Night Music in which she co-starred with Bernadette Peters, Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta Jones.

After getting his start writing scripts for television and film back in the 1990s, author Jim McCann ’92 moved to New York City in 2004 and never looked back. The Marvel Comics writer won an Eisner Award in 2011 for his work on the graphic novel Return of the Dapper Men, which hauled in five Eisner nominations overall. In 2016, McCann decided to give back to his alma mater by donating a wide-ranging collection of graphic novels and comic books to the Neuhoff Library.

Stephen Zralek ’90, a business and intellectual property litigation attorney for Bone McAllester Norton PLLC, has represented a number of celebrities and politicians in legal disputes. After graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1997, Zralek quickly established himself as one of the most reliable attorneys in his field throughout the southeast. Zralek is active in the Nashville political scene, serves as the Nashville Bar Association Board of Directors and the Sexual Assualt Center Board of Directors. He has also served in many roles, including his current post on the Board of Ambassadors, for Conexión Américas, a nonprofit organization that helps immigrant families integrate into their communities and “realize their aspirations for social and economic advancement.”

Britt Hunt ’86 is the founder and CEO of TBHC Delivers, the largest distributor of Hunt Brothers Pizza. TBHC services more than 3,200 locations in 14 different states and is one of the largest convenience store distributors in the entire southeast. In 2012, Hunt purchased a majority share of St. Louis-based dining services contractor Pedestal Foods, which operates the dining facilities for dozens of senior living communities, universities, and schools, including Father Ryan.

Dr. Russell Wigginton ’84 is the Chief Postsecondary Impact Office for Tennessee SCORE (State Collaborative on Reforming Education).

Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Student Life and Dean of Students at Rhodes College in Memphis. In this position, he provided leadership and strategic direction to student life, residential life, athletics, and recreation, career services, academic support services, and the Learning Corridor, which is the college's partnerships with nearby neighborhoods.

Wigginton graduated from Rhodes College with a B.A. in history in 1998 and returned to academia in 1992 to obtain his M.A. and Ph.D in history from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He taught courses in Rhodes’ history department from 1996 to 2004 before assuming a purely administrative role within the university. In 2006, Dr. Wigginton authored his first book, The Strange Career of the Black Athlete: African-Americans and Sports, and he has since published several articles and essays on African-American social and labor history. An active member of the Memphis community, Wigginton has served on numerous boards in the area, including those for the National Civil Rights Museum, the Memphis Literacy Council, and the Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association.

The Honorable Nannette A. Baker '75 serves as Chief Magistrate Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri in St. Louis. She has served as a judge on the Missouri Court of Appeals and became the first African-American woman to serve as Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals in 2008. Judge Baker previously held the position of Circuit Court Judge in the City of St. Louis. Prior to her appointment to the bench, she practiced law at two different St. Louis law firms after graduating from Saint Louis University School of Law. Judge Baker worked as a television news reporter, anchor and talk show host for 13 years before attending law school.

Luellen Hoffman ’72 has had a multi-faceted career as an adjunct professor at George Mason University, as a author of the award-winning book, “Special Dream” and as a columnist for a Chicago-based magazine for more than 15 years. Among other honors, she was the recipient of the Chairman’s Award from VNU/Nielsen Business Media.

Major General (USA Ret.) Jim Myles ’70 has a 36-year career as an officer in the Army with numerous commands under his belt including Army Test and Evaluation Command, aviation brigade and battalion command and multiple assignments in the 160th special Operations Aviation Regiment. He retired after three years as commanding general of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal. He currently serves as the Vice President of Aviaton Operations for DynCorpInternational. He received numerous medals while serving in the Army including the Superior Service Medal, Joint Serve Commendation Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal.

David Bohan ’66 is the Chairman BOHAN Advertising | Marketing, which was named the Southeast Small Agency of the Year by Ad Age in 2014. His company represents high-profile clients such as St. Thomas Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and Dollar General. He has served on many boards, including United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, Nashville Ballet, and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, and is a current board member for Father Ryan and Middle Tennessee YMCA.

David Darst ’65 is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and serves as Chairman of the Asset Allocation Committee and Chief Investment Strategist of Global Wealth Management. He is the author of five books on bond market and asset allocation, including The Little Book That Saves Your Assets, which has ranked on the bestseller lists of the New York Times and Business Week. His books have been translated into Chinese, Japanese, Russian, German, Korean, Italian, Norwegian and Vietnamese. He frequently appears on CNBC, Bloomberg, FOX, and PBS and contributes to many business magazines.

Msgr. Owen Campion ’58 is the editor of The Priest and associate publisher of Our Sunday Visitor, one of the largest English language publishers in the world. and the most popular Catholic newsweekly of the 20th century. The Priest is a professional journal, published by Our Sunday Visitor, designed with the needs of interests of priests and deacons in mind. Msgr. Campion is a former president of the Catholic Press Association and the Vatican’s ecclesiastical adviser for the International Catholic Union of the Press.

Jim Carell ’54 (deceased) was an entrepreneur from a very young age. He started a shoeshine business as a grade school student and later parlayed those skills to found his family business, CareAll. His company, which has grown steadily since its founding, is now the largest home health provider in the South and does business in 36 Tennessee cities. As a philanthropist, he focused his efforts on education, donating millions to area schools, including funding Father Ryan’s athletic complex and fitness center.
