Make plans to join us for our outdoor Junior Irish Night on Friday, September 19 from 5:00-7:00pm on our campus's Academic Lawn.

Carnival Games I Bounce Houses I Lawn Games I DJ I Swag Bags and T-shirts

Here's the schedule for the evening:
5:00pm: Junior Irish Night opens, and Junior Irish are invited to come in Father Ryan gear. There will also be swag bags, carnival and lawn games, a DJ, and more!

6:35pm: Line up with our Student Body as the Marching Band leads them across the bridge to Giacosa Stadium to cheer on the Irish!

PLEASE NOTE: ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND JUNIOR IRISH NIGHT. HOWEVER, ALL SWAG BAGS HAVE BEEN RESERVED.

Please note: Parent(s) will need to purchase a gameday ticket to enter the stadium. All children who are registered for Junior Irish Night will receive free admission to the game.

 Father Ryan High School’s 2025 Preview Day will be Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 12:30pm-4:00pm.

Please join our family of students, educators, parents, and alumni for a preview of the Father Ryan experience. Tour our campus, attend classes, join sessions on Academics and our House System, visit our clubs and activities fair, and watch a Performing Arts Showcase. Discover how Father Ryan is setting a new standard in Catholic education where your child will be known and loved.

Our program begins at 1:00pm in the Center for the Arts. Doors open for registration and check in at 12:30pm.

*Pre-registration for this event is now closed. Walk-ups are welcome.*

Our Open Visit Day is offered for any current eighth grade student who does not visit Father Ryan with their current school. Please join us on campus for an opportunity to experience a day in the life of a Father Ryan student.

Our Open Visit day begins with drop-off between 8:15-8:30am and ends at 1:45pm. Lunch will be provided. Drop-off and pick-up will be in the Cloister Building (Main Office).

As you enter campus, you will see a brick sign that says "Father Ryan High School." Please turn right at this sign. The building on your left is our Cloister Building (Main Office). You may park anywhere in the half circle in front of this building.

Boys should wear nice pants and a button down shirt or polo shirt. Girls should wear nice pants, or a skirt (of modest length), polo or blouse. Jeans, shorts, mini-skirts, ripped pants, tank tops, sneakers, etc., are not permitted. Students may choose to wear their own school uniform if they wish.

Wednesday, January 14, 2026 | 9:30-10:30am                                                            Father Ryan’s Neuhoff Library

Open to all parents of students in grades 4th-8th

Parents of students in 4th-8th grades are invited to join us for coffee and pastries in the Neuhoff Library as you hear from President Paul Davis ’81 as he shares updates about Father Ryan and provides parents the opportunity to connect and ask questions of our Senior Leadership Team.

This event provides a relaxed atmosphere for parents to get answers to any topic, including tuition assistance opportunities, academic programs, strategic plan initiatives, and more.

Junior Irish School Spirit Night  
January 23, 2026
Starts at 6:00pm and goes through the end of the Varsity Boys Basketball Game

All Junior Irish (PreK-8th Grade) are invited to join us for a night of  basketball, pizza, giveaways, games, and a chance to meet the Father Ryan Coaches! 

Event Details: Junior Irish School Spirit Night is FREE for all registered children. Parent(s) will need to purchase a ticket for the basketball game(s). Tickets are available for purchase here.

Registration includes pizza and a drink as well as a free game ticket to watch the Irish take on Harpeth Hall and MBA! Additional food and snacks may be purchased at the concession stand.

Giveaways will take place throughout both games.

  • Pizza will be provided from 6:00-7:00pm in the Pat Simpson '74 Wrestling Facility
  • Junior Irish Jungle (Junior Irish Student Section) opens on the Home side bleachers 7:15pm - Meet and Greet with Coaches in the Pat Simpson '74 Wrestling Facility (between games).
• 7:30pm - Boys Varsity Basketball vs. MBA Tipoff.

Father Ryan invites each surrounding Partner School to schedule a day for their 8th grade classes to visit and experience our campus, attend classes, receive tours from Student Ambassadors, and meet our Faculty & Staff.

We look forward to welcoming prospective families to our campus for in-person tours. Come and personally experience Father Ryan!

Shadow Days at Father Ryan High School provide prospective students the opportunity to spend time with a current Father Ryan student and experience a typical school day.

As our freshmen students begin their Father Ryan experience, we allow them the time needed to acclimate in order to flourish and grow at their new school before asking them to guide prospective students through a Shadow Day. Therefore, we preserve Shadow Days for students who are unable to visit Father Ryan with their current school during a Visit Day or during our Open Visit Day in the fall*.

Also, to create the best Father Ryan Shadow Day experience for prospective students, we require families to attend a Campus Tour before scheduling a Shadow Day. This allows prospective students to familiarize themselves with our campus, learn important program information, and allow them to discover all opportunities available to them as a Father Ryan student.

*If after your student attends a School Visit Day and a Family Campus Tour, he/she still feels the need for a shadow day, please contact the Office of Admissions. We will be happy to work with your family.
