The tuition assistance application is available to any applicant. Only those families meeting a certain income or debt threshold will qualify for tuition assistance.

FACTS, the third-party consultant that works with Father Ryan, reviews each family’s individual needs and circumstances and financial information (income/assets, expenses, debt, number of dependents, other tuition resources including outside scholarships and other family member contributions, etc.) to determine any level of assistance.

Admissions decisions are not impacted by applications for tuition assistance. Students’ financial need is not factored into the admissions decisions.

We now offer a single tuition model for all families and a 15% multi-student tuition discount for any family with more than one child enrolled. This model aligns with other private schools in Nashville and with Catholic schools nationally.

No, there is no direct financial contribution from the Diocese of Nashville to Father Ryan that subsidizes tuition.

Tuition assistance is need-based, and it is given to families in the form of a grant, which never needs to be paid back. Our students repay us by paying it forward and continuing the Tradition of Faith, Knowledge, Service beyond the Father Ryan campus.

Yes. Each year, families who receive tuition assistance will complete the FACTS application to update with current financial information. Families can expect to pay the same percentage of tuition if their circumstances remain relatively unchanged from the previous year.

Yes. Each year, the Tennessee government requires families to resubmit their application to receive ESA and EFS funds.

In addition to tuition assistance, Father Ryan provides need-based and merit-based scholarships to students. Many of these scholarships are primarily available to upperclassmen, with the exception of Presidential Scholarships through the Hayes Scholars Program for new students.

While we offer five merit-based Presidential Scholarships to the top five high school placement testers annually, the best way to receive financial assistance is to apply for tuition assistance and outside ESA and EFS scholarships.

No. In Accordance with the TSSAA policy, all private schools adhere to the same policies regarding student-athletes. All tuition assistance to student-athletes must be need-based.

For a student-athlete to be eligible for tuition assistance, the family must first apply for tuition assistance through FACTS, our third-party financial institution. If FACTS determines that the family qualifies for need-based aid, Father Ryan can distribute money according to demonstrated qualified need.

Yes. However, the first round of awards are based on all tuition assistance applicants at that time. If there are applicants who do not accept an award, that money could still be available. To ensure your best opportunity for tuition assistance, it is best to apply by the tuition assistance due date.

Both family units are required to apply for tuition assistance. If you are married but filing taxes separately, both parents will submit individual applications. A copy of your Divorce Decree must be submitted to Father Ryan's Business Office, specifically the portion that discusses Child Support or tuition payments.

Yes, remarriage of a parent/guardian creates a new family unit. The income and assets of the new family unit must be included in the application for tuition assistance.
