  • 15 min: Warm-up

  Sign-up for Swimming and Diving for the 2022-2023 season for Catholic Middle School (athletes in 5th-8th grade) will be held Tuesday, August 23, at 6:30pm in the Father Ryan Neuhoff Library. This meeting is for parents of all new interested swimmers and divers.

  4th-6th grade will race 800 meters, and 7th-8th grade will race 1600 meters. Runners are asked to wear their cross country uniforms. No entry fee required.

  This program will focus on individual techniques related to passing, dribbling, shooting, and awareness as well as team tactics and continuity. Our primary goal is to help youth players prepare for high school soccer. We believe Nashville Catholic Soccer will allow each player to create solid fundamentals, lasting relationships, while building a culture of good character and sportsmanship. Practices will be once a week along with at least 1 game every two weeks. Practices will last approximately 1 hour and 15 min but could extend longer if needed.

  Father Ryan will host its third Irish Ruggerfest the weekend of September 10-11. This event will feature rugby matches on Saturday from 9:00am-4:00pm and Sunday from 10:00am-2:00pm. Rugby teams of all skill levels, both boys and girls, will compete, from middle school to adult teams. Of course, your Father Ryan Irish boys’ and girls’ teams will compete against clubs from across the Southeast!

  Make plans to join us for our outdoor Junior Irish Night on Friday, September 23 from 5:00-7:00pm on our campus's Academic Lawn. 
   
  Here's the schedule for the evening: 

   
  5:00pm: Junior Irish Night opens, and Junior Irish are invited to come in Father Ryan gear. There will also be swag bags, carnival and lawn games, a DJ, and more! 
   

  6:35pm: Line up with our Student Body as the Marching Band leads them across the bridge to Giacosa Stadium to cheer on the Irish!

  Please join our family of students, educators, parents, and alumni for a preview of the Father Ryan experience. Tour our campus, attend classes, join sessions on Academics and our House System, visit our clubs and activities fair, and watch a Performing Arts Showcase. Discover how Father Ryan is setting a new standard in Catholic education where your child will be known and loved.

  Father Ryan Futsal is an opportunity for players to continue their development during winter. This will be an 8-week program that focuses on technical development and decision-making. We will break for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Futsal is played inside on a hard court that is smaller than a regular soccer field. There are no walls, which sets it apart from “indoor” soccer. Teams are composed of 4 field players and a goalkeeper. Futsal is a great way for players to develop their technical and tactical skills. Having a smaller ball and a more confined playing area requires players to think quickly and have a good first touch. Cost for registration is $175.
