  • Hayes Scholars

    The Hayes Scholars Program seeks to honor the legacy of Father Ryan's late Academic Dean, Sara Hayes, by promoting personal integrity, intellectual curiosity, an unyielding pursuit of excellence, and a kind and generous spirit. This new program is first available to the Class of 2026, Father Ryan's 100th graduating class.

    Hayes Scholars are notified of their acceptance to the program when they receive their Father Ryan Admissions Decision. Program details will be released at a later date.

  • School Uniform

    Father Ryan students are required to wear the school uniform and abide by the uniform guidelines every day.

    Mills Uniform Company is the school’s uniform partner. Mills has been in the uniform business since 1947 and has provided us with the selection and service that we want for our families.

    PE Uniform: For students taking PE, there is no school-issued required uniform. However, you are asked to wear athletic shorts, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes to each PE class.

  • Subject Specific Placement Test Dates

    Students interested in placing into a more advanced Math and/or World Language class may take any of our subject-specific
    placement tests in the spring.

    World Languages: April 20, 2022
    Algebra*: April 27, 2022
    Geometry/Algebra*: May 4, 2022

    *Calculators are not allowed on the Algebra placement test.

  • Summer Assignments

    Freshmen entering the Class of 2026 have required Summer Reading for the English courses they will take during their first year at Father Ryan. These assignments are decided by the level of English the student will be taking.

  • Summer School

    Father Ryan offers Summer School courses for new credit and enhancement non-credit during two sessions. These courses are open to members of the Class of 2026 and transfer students.

    Registration Opens: March 7, 2022, at 8:00am
    Session I: May 31, 2022 – June 11, 2022
    Session II: June 14, 2022 – June 24, 2022

  • Technology Needs

    Father Ryan uses a Microsoft Office 365 cloud-based platform that integrates technology into the classrooms. As part of this program, all students are required to bring a fully charged laptop* to school daily, beginning on the first day of school.

    Important note: You do not need to purchase the Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Students will be given free access to the software during their time at Father Ryan. 

    *This 2:1 program will not allow Apple or Chromebook computers.

  • Textbook Information

    EdTech is our online bookstore. In late June, you will receive information in the mail regarding how to access the EdTech bookstore and all other textbook purchasing options and processes.

    School Supplies: Because each student has a unique schedule, we do not have a master supply list. However, if your student’s teacher has a list of items that will be necessary for that course, that information will be given to your student on the first day of classes.

  • Bus Transportation

    Father Ryan offers a bus transportation program for families who reside in the Donelson, Hermitage, Madison, and Mt. Juliet areas.  The bus will be operating daily between Holy Rosary Academy, the Catholic Pastoral Center, and Father Ryan High School.

    Seats on the bus will be reserved on a first come first served basis. Students must be enrolled to register for the Father Ryan Bus Program.

  • Carpool Interest Form

    If you are interested in carpooling, fill out the survey form below by June 1. We'll compile the information and send you a list of families in your zip code by June 8 so you can connect with them and explore carpool options.

  • myFatherRyan

    myFatherRyan is our Parent and Student Portal for all things school-related, including grades and school forms.

    Parents of new students who are enrolled in Summer School receive access to this in late May. All other incoming families receive their username and password in late July.

  • Parent Engagement

    Father Ryan recognizes that parents are the first educators of their children. As such, your role in the education of your children cannot be underestimated. When you entrust your child to the Father Ryan Catholic community, you become partners with us in the formation of your child spiritually, academically and in every other way.

    Parents assist us in many ways throughout the year through the Parent School Network (PSN).

New Student Orientation Information
New Student Orientation is August 4, 2022 from 7:40am to 2:55pm. Check-in begins at 7:15am, and drop-off and pick-up are located at the Catignani-Drennan Fieldhouse at the back of campus. Students should wear their full uniforms for this mandatory orientation. 

Lunch and break snacks will be provided. Students do not need to bring their laptops, books, or cell phones. The only exception is for those who have NOT completed tech set-up – those students should bring their laptops. Tech set-up will begin at 3:00pm, following New Student Orientation.
