If your student likes to figure out how things work, or solve an engineering problem, or create a movie, or write code for the next world-changing device, then your child has an exciting new academic program to explore at Father Ryan.
Beginning this fall, Father Ryan students in grades 10-12 will have the opportunity to take STEAM I, a new, fully immersive, technology-based curriculum where learners explore and apply a wide range of technologies to project-based work.
This elective course provides hands-on, practical, project-based opportunities for students to explore their interests in STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math - by developing and practicing real-world skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, project-planning, time management and communication.
Projects might include:
Mechanics and Structures
Scientific Data and Analysis
Robotics and Control Technology
STEAM I will take place in a dedicated space in Neuhoff Library to be called the Irish SmartLab.
