At Father Ryan, you can choose from more than 170 courses offered at four different levels, with a variety of electives.
In addition to our Mathematics, History and English offerings that include courses like Military Literature of the World Wars, we offer four different world languages, 17 different levels of science courses (including engineering), 13 courses focused on media and technology, and the highest number of fine arts courses (37) among private schools in Middle Tennessee.

Course Credits
The minimum number of credits required for graduation is 28 credits. In the course of their four years at Father Ryan, students have the opportunity to earn 32+ credits.
Theology – 4 credits
English – 4 credits
Mathematics – 4 credits (Algebra I, II, Geometry, and 4th math)
Social Studies – 3 credits (One World History, one U.S. History, and one other)
Science – 3 credits (One physical and one biologicalscience recommended, plus one additional)
World Languages and Cultures – 2 credits (in the same world language)
Physical Education – 1 credit
Fine Arts – 1 credit
Health - 1/2 credit
Technology - 1/2 credit
Electives – Sufficient to meet graduation requirements
Father Ryan offers 27 college level courses through the Advanced Placement Program, in which 85% or more of our students earned a passing score (qualified status) for college credit.
