  Freshman Year - College Planning Timeline

• College Counselors visit all Freshman Seminar classes to discuss what underclassmen can do to prepare for a successful application process during their senior year.
• Students begin building their resumes.
• Parents are invited to casual "Chit Chats" with College Counselors every quarter.
• Students and parents are invited to an evening program in February to learn about the college application process, appropriate preparation, and more.

 Sophomore Year - College Planning Timeline

• All Sophomores take a career assessment and personality assessment and are guided through their results with College Counselors.
• College Counselors visit all Sophomore Theology classes and continue to build on students' knowledge of the college application process.
• Students update their resumes.
• Parents are invited to casual "Chit Chats" with College Counselors every quarter.
• Students and parents are invited to an an evening program in February to learn about the college application process, appropriate preparation, and more.
• Students and parents are invited to attend the Nashville Case Studies Program, at which they participate in a mock admissions committee to learn about holistic, selective admissions processes.

 Junior Year - College Planning Timeline

• College Counselors host an evening program for students and parents to officially kick off the college process for Juniors. At this program, we discuss the application timeline for the next 18 months, and families hear from college representatives about important issues for the college admissions process.
• College Counselors host an evening program for students and parents to learn about the college financial aid process.
• Every Junior schedules a family meeting with their College Counselor and parent(s) to discuss that family’s individual concerns, questions, and college preferences.
• College Counselors visit all Junior Theology classes to discuss more information regarding the college process, how to research colleges online, registering for the ACT/SAT, and more.
• Students update their resumes.
• Students and parents are invited to attend the Nashville Case Studies Program, at which they participate in a mock admissions committee to learn about holistic, selective admissions processes.

 Senior Year - College Planning Timeline

• College Counselors host College Application workshops to explain how to apply to college. During these workshops, Seniors begin filling out their Common Application.
• College Counselors meet individually with students as often as needed to complete all college applications.
• College Counselors host a FAFSA workshop for parents.
• College Counselors host College Financial Aid and Transitioning to College evening programs for Seniors and their parents.

 Available to Students of All Grades

• College Counseling hosts frequent college visits throughout the school year.
• The annual Father Ryan College Fair brings college representatives from over 100 schools to campus, and all students attend.
