Expert Support Team Dedicated to Empowering Students
Members of our Educational Support Staff create a path to support students as they reach their spiritual, academic, and personal potential.
This team includes three State Certified Learning Specialists and one Senior Licensed Psychological Examiner.
Support Staff are not tutors and do not specialize in a specific subject; therefore, it may be necessary for students to meet with classroom teachers or outside tutors for subject-specific assistance.
Additional Support Requirements
Some students require a higher level of support beyond the foundations provided for all students enrolled in our Academic Support Program, outlined above. The Cooperative Support Program consists of dedicated time built into every school day to meet with a Support Staff member in a classroom setting. Individual testing may reveal the need for specialized sections of certain classes. A limited number of students can receive this level of support, and there are additional requirements for this program:
-
A certified learning difference with a psychoeducational evaluation within 3 years
-
Registration and attendance of a mandatory summer Study Skills course in June before 9th grade begins.
