Father Ryan has partnered with FlynnO’Hara, a uniform provider founded in 1972 and based in Philadelphia that provides uniforms for over half a million students from 1,500+ schools every year.

Girls' Uniform

Girls' Standard Uniform

Girls grades 9-11 will wear a gray polo and grade 12 will wear the Senior polo on Standard Uniform Days. 

Girls' Dress Uniform

All grades will wear an oxford shirt on Dress Uniform Days.

Senior Girls' Uniform

Seniors will wear the school approved, purple senior polo purchased through the uniform provider on Standard Uniform Days.

*Please note polos that Seniors purchase from athletic team stores, clubs, or other organizations throughout the year will NOT be allowed to be worn during the school day. All other school uniform requirements apply.

House Shirt Fridays

House Shirts align with the school’s House System and are allowed to be worn in place of the Standard Uniform polo on Fridays or other days as determined by Father Ryan administration. These days will be communicated in advance and are optional. House Shirts are provided to students annually at the beginning of the school year.

Boys' Uniform

Boys' Standard Uniform

Outerwear Guidelines

Students may only wear school-approved gray crewneck pullover, 1/4 zip, hooded rain jacket, or cold weather puffer jacket every day while at school. If a student chooses to wear the rain jacket, they must remove their jacket once inside the building.

*All gray crewneck pullovers and 1/4 zips must be purchased through our uniform provider, and all cold weather puffer jackets and hooded rain jackets must be purchased through the Father Ryan Spirit Store under the Uniform Approved section.*

General Uniform Guidelines

Out-of-Uniform Guidelines

Certain days may be designated as “out-of-uniform” days, at the discretion of Father Ryan administration. On these days, items of clothing should correspond to the sex assigned on the student’s birth certificate.

Examples: Boys cannot wear – skirts, dresses, earrings, nail polish | Girls cannot wear – beard, mustache.

  • Wigs are not allowed.
  • Students may NOT wear shorts.
  • Jeggings, leggings, yoga pants, and stretch tights are not pants and should not be worn as such. No leg coverings without both front and back pockets may be worn as pants. If leggings are worn, pants or a skirt/dress of an appropriate length must be worn over them.
  • Students may NOT wear onesies, costumes, pajama pants or flannel pants.
  • Students may NOT wear the following shoes: slides, flip flops, shoes without a closed heel, house shoes, moccasins, and other non-outdoor shoes.
  • Skirts must adhere to the uniform skirt length of no higher than 3 inches above the top of the knee.
  • Hats may NOT be worn on campus and in the building.
  • The same guidelines for jewelry and earrings, nose rings, eyebrow rings, and tongue rings apply.
  • Boys may not wear earrings.
  • No bare midriffs, low cut tops, or tight-fitting apparel. Blouses or tops which expose the midriff when wearer is in any position may not be worn.
  • No shirts with reference to alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, drug use, political, inappropriate moral messages, racial, or prejudicial statements or inferences may be worn. This is at the discretion of Father Ryan administration.
  • No torn or ripped clothing (pants or shirts).
  • Boys may not wear ponytails.
  • Parents/Students are advised that when in doubt concerning appropriateness of clothing, to error on the side of conservative dress.
