Congratulations to the Father Ryan Boy’s Lacrosse Team as they played in the State Lacrosse “Final Four” Championship this past weekend. In the semi-final game they defeated Cookeville High School 9-1 but then lost a well played and hard fought game to Brentwood High School 4-6 in the Championship Game.

The team had a record of 11-3 with big wins over rival Pope JP II and 2007 DI Champ Ravenwood. This also marks the first time in Father Ryan Lacrosse History the Irish have played in the State Championship Game.

The team was lead at attack by seniors – Daniel Lorance (45 points), Co-Captain John Mulloy (43 points), and Cullen Nicholl (30 points), with seniors Trent Heichelbech (20 points), Tommy Fenoglio (18 points) and Co-Captain Chris Hoeflein (15 points) heading up the midfield.  Seniors Alex Dreifke, Justin Guinn, Thomas Thurman, goalie Robert Rogers and sophomore Gene Flathmann at log stick middie guided a stifling defense that gave up an average of only 4 goals per game while the offence averaged an impressive 10 goals per game.
