2013 Summer School Information
Registration
Register by printing the application below and delivering it in person to the Guidance Office. You may also contact the Guidance Office to have a form mailed to you.
Summer School Application
This is the updated application which reflects the classes that are no longer available for registration.
A completed application includes two things:
1. An application form filled out completely with contact information, email addresses and class choices.
2. A $425 check for each class for which the student wishes to register. (If you want to register for two classes, you will need to include two separate $425 checks. These checks will not be cashed until your student has been accepted into the class, and you have confirmed the acceptance.) Forms will not be accepted without payment.
Textbooks
Father Ryan allows summer school students to rent their textbooks for a low fee. Please read the following for more information: Summer School Textbooks 2013

Policies & Dress Code
Students are allowed only one full day absence per session; anything beyond this results in no credit. For more information on attendance, dress code and other policies, please read the Summer School Policies document below.

Lunch
The Father Ryan dining hall is undergoing an extensive remodeling this summer, with the goal of renovating the menu, facilities, and décor to enhance the entire dining experience at Father Ryan.
The upgrading of facilities is an exciting time for any campus, but it also requires some short-term logistical adjustments to make those upgrades a reality. This year, as part of this extensive remodeling and reconstruction, the Father Ryan campus will be without a kitchen and dining hall during summer school; thus the dining hall will not be open, nor will it be serving food. We are asking, therefore, that all students who are taking classes during either session bring their own lunch all nine days of each session. In the event that a student forgets his or her lunch, we will have vending machines available, as well as some non-perishable food items from summer camps—but our hope is that students will be able to provide their own healthy, fulfilling lunches during the short session.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Matt Puryear directly at puryearm@fatherryan.org, or call the school at 615-383-4200.
Welcome Note from Summer School Director
Hello summer school parents and students!
My name is Matt Puryear, and I'm the Summer School Director at Father Ryan. We are glad to have you as part of our Father Ryan summer school, and we look forward to having your son or daughter on campus.
Here is some information to make the transition to summer school as smooth as possible.
Orientation for the first session will begin at 8 am in the Center for the Arts on Wednesday, June 5th. At that time, students will be given instructions of the rules and regulations of Father Ryan Summer School, including attendance, dress code, parking, lunch, etc. From there, they will be dismissed to their classrooms. Remember that the first session of summer school is from June 5 - June 17, and classes go from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm each day, with lunch from 11:30 am - 12:00 noon. The only exceptions are the non-credit enhancement classes, which are dismissed at 11:30 am each day.
If you have any questions, please contact me, Matt Puryear, the Summer School Director, at puryearm@fatherryan.org. Thanks again--and we'll see you on June 5th!
