Visit Father Ryan
Tours of the Father Ryan Campus
Father Ryan welcomes prospective students and their families to tour our campus. Please call our Admissions Office at 615-383-4200 to arrange for a tour.
Father Ryan will host several Academic Blend Events. These events allow parents of 8th grade students interested in attending Father Ryan a chance to visit the classroom during an academic day to see our talented faculty in action. Parents will also have a chance to hear from our Academic Dean about the range of opportunities in our academic program. Registration is required for this event. It is only necessary to attend one Academic Blend. Space is limited for each date. All Academic Blends begin and end in the Neuhoff Library.
April 25, 2013, 9:30-11:30 a.m. (this event is open only to parents of current 7th graders. Deadline to register is Tuesday, April 16)
Parochial Schools
Beginning in September, Father Ryan hosts 8th grade visit days for the various parochial schools in the area with whom we partner. These days are arranged between the Admissions Office and the parochial schools.
Non-Parochial School Students
There is a visit day on November 14, 2012 for any 8th grade student who is not enrolled at one of our partner schools. An invitation will be sent to any student who has inquired about admission to Father Ryan High School and is not enrolled in a partner school.
Shadow Days
Shadow Days provide prospective students with an opportunity to spend time with a Father Ryan student and discover what a typical day is like. Shadow Days are by appointment only, starting in October and continuing through the end of April. It is advised that 8th grade students wait to schedule a Shadow Day until after they have attended their school's visit day.
Proper attire is required. Boys should wear nice pants and a button down shirt or polo shirt. Girls should wear nice pants, or a skirt (of modest length), polo or blouse. Jeans, shorts, mini-skirts, ripped pants, tank tops, sneakers, etc., are not permitted. Students may choose to wear their own school uniform if they wish. Lunch will be provided.
You must have Part I of the application on file with the Admissions Office prior to scheduling your Shadow Day. To make your appointment, please contact the Admissions Office at (615) 383-4200. Please make your appointment at least one week in advance of your requested shadow day.
