During the Lenten Season, over 150 Father Ryan students sign up for various volunteer projects. These projects are designed to help the organization and give FRHS students an opportunity to help our community. The students can pick from a variety of projects which will take place on the different Saturdays during Lent. The enthusiasm of FRHS students showed through when signing up to help the community with its needs. FRHS teens are willing to give their time and energy to all lenten projects.

     

 

Camp Marymount

Camp Marymount is owned and operated by the Catholic Diocese of Nashville, Tennessee, and is one of the largest camps in the South. The camp is designed for children and teenagers in the age group of 6 to 16.

The project at Camp Marymount will take place Saturday, March 6th. The students that signed up for this project will plant gardens, rake leaves, and clean the creek. The cabins will also be cleaned by the students to help the out the camp.


 

St. Patricks Shelter

St. Patricks Shelters mission to work with people from all walks of life to provide the shelter, food, education, and support necessary to assist homeless families in the Nashville area to become self-sufficient.

Saint Patricks Shelter project for the FRHS students will be to have the students aid the homeless.The students will prepare meals and to interact with them. The students will be decorating and organizing holiday parties. There will not be any specific dates for students, if they sign up there will be posted dates for help.


 

Room at the Inn

The Nashville-based program matches homeless people with about 150 Middle Tennessee congregations that provide overnight shelter and food one night a week or once or twice a month.

The project will be taking place at "Campus for Human Development. "Saturday, March 27th FRHS students will be painting over graffiti, rake, clean, and plant designated areas. These projects are to help the appearance and make the presence more comfortable.
