School Lenten Project -- Fr. Ryan Campus Ministry

Two organizations have asked for help in gathering non-food items. The Refugee Resettlement program gives "Welcome to America" baskets filled with various non-perishables to refugees settling in the middle Tennessee area. St. Patrick Shelter Program also offers aid to anyone in need.

Items will be collected in your first period classroom or on each floor of the Cloister Building the week of Tuesday, March 19 - Tuesday, March 26th, the Tuesday of Holy Week. Some suggested non-food items are listed below. Notice that this list contains small/non-bulky items. This is for ease of collecting, handling, and distributing. Use your good judgement at to what to collect.

 



  • Personal Hygiene: toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, deodorant, razors, soap, shaving creme
  • Household Cleaning Supplies:brooms, dust pan, trash bags, cleaners
  • Bedding Supplies: sets of sheets, pillow cases
  • Bathroom Supplies: shower curtain liners and hooks, towels
  • Kitchen Supplies: can opener, utensils, cutting board, colander, dish towels, cleaners, detergents, S.O.S pads, pot holder, silverware
  • Miscellaneous Items: light bulbs, alarm clocks, laundry detergent
  • School Supplies: book packs, pens, paper, envelopes
  • Baby Products: baby powder, baby wipes, bottles
  • Money: lots of it--which is always helpful
