Win-Win Food Drive
Fr Ryan won a food drive competition against JPII and St. Cecilia this past week! All three schools gathered 17,355 non-perishable food items - Fr Ryan averaged 11.37 cans per person (students & teachers). Mrs. Langlois' 1st period class brought in the most to win a breakfast. It's a win for Fr Ryan and especially a win for Second Harvest Food Bank! Thanks to everyone for participating!
Trash Art Winners![]() Congratulations to B Glidwell, M France, and R Geoghagan for their winning entries at the Metropolitan Board of Parks & Recreation 2003 Trash Art Contest. Glidwell and Geoghagan won 2nd place in the 11th/12th grade individual sculpture category; France won 1st place and also won 2003 Best of Show.
Irish Pride 5K Run

Drumline Brings Home 1st!
All their practice must have paid off because the Drumline won 1st place at the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) National Competition last weekend in Louisville. Due to rental vehicle troubles, they even had to push their equipment along several city blocks from the hotel to the competition site. Great job!
Forensics in Competition
The Father Ryan Forensic Team competed at the Dickson County Invitational Tournament last Saturday against 24 other schools. Special congratulations to K Cranfield and D Cranfield for winning 2nd place with their duet acting performance.
"Volunteer of the Year"
At the Bishop's Dinner for Charity and Service on Oct. 24, St. Mary's Villa recognized the Fr Ryan Senior Service Program as its "Volunteer of the Year." St Mary's presented Mrs. Clippinger and the seniors who participating this year with a certificate. Father Ryan seniors have been volunteering to work with the children at St. Mary's Villa for more than 15 years.
Purple Masque Players Present! If you've watched the Munsters on Nick at Night before, you were ready to meet the Sycamores when the Purple Masque Players presented their fall play, You Can't Take it With You. Alice Sycamore (K Conway) loves her family dearly, but explaining them to her boyfriend Tony Kirby (W Arthur) is going to take a bit of doing - the comedy is over the top!
