Father Ryan High School "Salutes Our Veterans" with a breakfast and program for Irish alumni veterans and veterans of the extended Father Ryan family. Irish Pride Run 
The 4th Annual Irish Pride 5K and Fun Run will be held on Saturday, November 12. This event is sponsored by the Father Ryan Alumni Association and benefits the tuition assistance program. Day of race registration begins at 7 am and the 5K starts at 8 am.

Cheerleaders Place 1st! 
The competition cheerleaders placed 1st in their division at the UCA all music competition on 10/29 at David Lipscomb University. Performing the routine that they debuted at the Homecoming pep rally, their score of 90 and above in each category is proof of their effort, time and dedication. The team's next competition is in December. Great job, ladies!
Honor Society Induction  Twenty-nine students were inducted into the Father Ryan STOA chapter of the National Honor Society on Thursday, October 20. CONTINUED» Kent Honored by US Bank 
Last month, with Channel 4 news cameras rolling, English teacher Robert Kent received the US Bank High School Star award in his classroom; senior M Hassell wrote to the television station recommending Kent for the award.

Band Scores at BOA  Mr and Mrs Langton spent the day with the Irish the Marching Band in Florida for the most successful band contest showing in the school's history! The band received one of nine Superior ratings at the Regional Bands of America (BOA) competition in St. Petersburg, Florida - this is the first time that they have made finals in a BOA contest: placing 9th out of 26 bands; and competing against the three top bands in the nation. Father Ryan Marching Band is now NATIONALLY ranked!
Ryan Scholars Recognized The National Merit Scholarship program has recognized the following Fr Ryan students based on their performance on the PSAT: T Duggan and P Kelly, National Merit Semi-Finalists; R Burch, L Clunan, R Floyd, L Murphy, C Rocha, D Sugg, and M Rymer, National Merit Commended Students; and R Floyd, National Achievement Scholarship Semi-Finalist. Congratulations to all!
PSN Family Dances The Parent School Network hosted the annual Mother & Son and Father & Daughter dances this weekend with a theme of "An Opening Night". The committee rolled out the "red carpet" as they decorated the field house with a red carpet entry, lights, roses, and baby Oscar statues. Parents and their dates filled the dance floor as they danced to "YMCA", the "Macarana", "The Electric Slide", and much, much more.
