Parent-Teacher Meetings 
This week it was the Freshman parents turn - next Wednesday, 9/7, will be the Parents' Meeting for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, starting at 6:30pm in the theater. Parents will have a chance to meet Principal McIntyre and all the teachers for their student.
Hey, Freshmen! 
The Class of 2009 gathered last Saturday night for Freshman Night! This was an opportunity for our Baby Irish to learn some of the traditions of Father Ryan, to meet some of their new classmates, and to begin to develop a spirit of class unity. The evening began at with ice breakers and wrapped up with a dance. CONTINUED»
Starting Up Again 
The August calendar is jam packed with events as we gear up for another year. If for any reason, you want to know the date of Homecoming or Spring Break for next year, you can also check the 2005-06 school year calendar (as of 6/21/05)!

Purple Irish Pride As a thank you for their behavior and efforts, Principal McIntyre announced that this Friday students can show their "purple pride" by wearing purple Fr Ryan T-shirts. (Out-of-uniform students must be wearing Father Ryan shirts). If you do not have a purple shirt, you may wear a white or gray T-shirt with purple Father Ryan lettering. Students may not wear shorts, low cut shirts, nor low cut pants. All rules outlined for out-of-uniform days in the student handbook apply.
All Sports Cookout
The diocesan administrator Reverend Father David Choby joined with parents, students, and staff at the annual All Sports Cookout last week. Athletic Director Hosey Holzapfel gave Fr Choby, a FRHS alum, a gift on behalf of the school - a purple Father Ryan pullover.
Parent Social Night 
Over 250 parents gathered for the PSN's annual beginning of the school year dinner last Wednesday, 8/24. The evening started in the theater with the introduction of PSN officers and with a greeting from new principal Jim McIntyre. Afterwards, everyone moved to the dining hall for a dinner hosted by Ambrosia and music by .
Summer Enrichment
It's hard to believe that in just a few weeks, students will be gearing back up for the 2005-2006 school year! Some students earned summer enrichment credit by attending the calculator workshops this week - hopefully you checked the due dates for your projects in the catalog to make sure you got them turned in time!
