Freshman Night
Freshman Night, held Saturday, 8/18, was an opportunity for the Baby Irish of 2011 to learn some of the traditions of Father Ryan, to meet some new classmates and to begin to develop a spirit of class unity. The evening began at 4:30 pm and wrapped up with mass and a dance.CONTINUED» |

Alarm Activities  While everyone was locked out of the academic building due to troubles with the alarm system, the freshmen had a chance to learn how to "break it down"! Heat Illnesses 
The administration has asked trainer Eric Claas to put together information regarding heat related concerns. Your health and safety are of the school's utmost concern.
"Back to School" Bash 
Student Council sponsored a "Back to School Bash" on Sunday, 8/12. Moved into the fieldhouse due to the heat, Student Council kicked off the afternoon with a prayer service followed by a Whitts barbeque and live music provided by the Killer Quails, Randall Lancaster, Greg Walton and Skiff.

Mr Davis is in his new office and already hard at work as everyone is getting ready for the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year!
New Dining Hall Policies  Dining Hall is moving to a debit card and meal plan system - they will not accept cash after Sep 1. Instead, students will need to load IDs with cash (increments of $25). Cards can be loaded from

Preview Show  The marching band had a preview of their 2007 show for friends and family last night. They have also debuted their new website - www.fatherryanband.org! Clubs and Groups  Mr Forbes has posted the 2007 list of Clubs and Groups for this year! The clubs fair will be in early September!
Gearing Up for the Year  Welcome and good luck to this year's group of new teachers as they start trying to navigate the halls and the buildings! Row 1: Mr Nasatir (Spanish), Ms Schlacter (Spanish), Mr Pour (Science) and Mr Layton (History) Row 2: Ms Reinbold (Science), Ms Tang (Chinese), Ms Nienabar (English) and Ms Whitaker (Math). You soon won't have any more of those "what to wear" worries as school starts on Wednesday, 8/8, for incoming freshmen. Along with the new uniform tie that Mr Forbes was sporting, shirts, socks and shoes are also on the list of changes.
