Here are the calendar changes and arrangements as the Father Ryan community mourns the loss of junior Kevin Zoccola. These changes will affect school activities on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The Freshman Parents “Back to School” Night scheduled for Wednesday, August 23rd, will be postponed until next Wednesday, 8/30, when it will be combined with the Upperclassman Parents “Back to School” Night. |

Military Scholarships  Representatives from the Navy and the Marines attended a special recognition ceremony on May 17 at Father Ryan High School to award military scholarships to three Father Ryan seniors: Ben Beasley, Alex Cheij and Lee Murphy. CONTINUED» Hoops for Haiti 
Thanks to everyone who participated in the fundraiser and watched the winning teams (T Reid, A Nolte, C Meriwether, R Denson and K Davis, T Ritter, C Johnson) take on Coaches Bontrager, Larkin, Motto, and Thompson on Wednesday during 2nd period. The team started out strong but the coaches pulled it together and took a 21-9 victory! All profits are for our sister school, College Msgr. Jean-Baptiste Decoste in Haiti. CONTINUED»

After weeks of training within their PE classes, the Class of 2009 assembled in the field house to see just which PE class was the best at the 16th annual Frosh Olympics. CONTINUED»

Freshman Night 
Ambassadors welcomes the "Class of 2010" as they arrived on Saturday for Freshman Night! This was an opportunity for our Baby Irish to learn some of the traditions of Father Ryan, to meet some of their new classmates and to begin to develop a spirit of class unity. The evening began at with ice breakers and wrapped up with a dance. COMING SOON»
Costa Rican Travelers  Eleven days without air conditioning, cable, colas or fast food - it may sound like an episode from Survivor, but 13 Ryan students, two parents, and two teachers (Mrs Beasley and Mrs McWatters) did just that this summer on an ecological and cultural excursion to Costa Rica. If you've ever moved before, you know the more the merrier! So the Sisters at the St Cecilia Motherhouse were happy to welcome around 50 Ryan students on Saturday, 5/27, to help move them into the new, renovated section of the Motherhouse. Thanks to everyone who volunteered!

Academic Awards Night was held Tuesday, 5/9, in the Field House to honor Father Ryan's brightest and best! Congratulations to all who received recognition!
Athletic Awards Night was held Thursday, 5/18, in the Field House. Team awards, individual athletic awards, and senior blankets were presented.
