Spring Choral Concert 
Decked out for their musical tribute to Queen, the Father Ryan Singers showcased their talents at their Spring Choral Concert on Tuesday, 4/29.

Scholarship Winners  ACE Mentoring (Architects, Engineers and Contractors) is a year-long program providese hands-on experience for students interested in careers in the building construction industry.The team from Father Ryan and USN presented the culmination of this year's project. Congratulations to M Wasyliw (2nd time winner) and A Van Becelaerre who each received $2,000 scholarship. Spring Dance Recital  Earlier this month, the members of the dance team performed their Spring Dance Recital with hip hop, ballet, tap and step dancing. CONTINUED» Speech & Drama Tourney 
Over the weekend, five Ryan students competed in the Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League State Tournament. Congrats to E Schoen, the 2008 State Champion in Dramatic Interpretation. K Wohl placed 4th in the state for Poetry Interpretation and J Sharp who placed 2nd in the state for Solo Acting (she actually tied for 1st and the decision was decided by the slimmest of margins.)
Math Day '08  Sixth, seventh and eight graders from around the parochial schools spent an afternoon at Father Ryan participating in Math Day 2008. CONTINUED» The Superlatives

Blood Drive 
A recipient of a blood donation that saved his life, T Natcher is helping to coordinate a Blood Drive at FRHS for his Eagle Scout project and a senior class service project: every one donation can save 3 lives! The drive will take place in the wrestling room from 1-6pm on May 9. Make an appointment at www.givelife.org - the sponsor code is fatherryan19. You have until Friday to sign up.
All State Band Musicians 
Special congrats to J Bidwell who earned 1st chair clarinet and K Hall who earned 1st chair baritone at the All State Band Conference. This is the first time in the history of the school that a Father Ryan student has accomplished this honor. Way to Go Irish!!
Seussical the Musical  Come one, come all and jump into the world of Dr. Seuss with the Purple Masque Players Spring Musical, “ Seussical”. Performances are on Thursday and Friday at 7pm - there are 2 shows on Saturday, 2pm and 7pm.
An Alternative Spring Break 
When you hear the words "Spring Break", most people think of the 3 S's: sand, surf, and sun. For a small group of Ryan students, Mr Forbes and Mr Mc Gee heading to Abbeville, LA, however, this is their chance to help others.

Drumline Off to Europe 
Although their plane tickets say their flight will last over seven hours, the Winter Drumline performed their 2008 show, "7 Countries in 7 Minutes", at the WGI Finals last weekend.
