Hoops for HaitiThe New Era (K Davis, B Connolly, T Obi) defeated the Dream Team (K Stoney, A Wawa, F Zoladz) in the finals of the 3rd Annual "Hoops for Haiti". They will face the faculty team - Basketball coaches Bontrager, Larkin, Thompson and Michael Hite - in the playoffs on Wednesday, 4/23, during the last block along with the Slam Dunk Contest. |

Speech & Drama Tourney
Over the weekend, five Ryan students competed in the Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League State Tournament. Congrats to E Schoen, the 2008 State Champion in Dramatic Interpretation. K Wohl placed 4th in the state for Poetry Interpretation and J Sharp who placed 2nd in the state for Solo Acting (she actually tied for 1st and the decision was decided by the slimmest of margins.)

Senior J Holzmer and her mother along with many other mothers and daughters attended the the Mother & Daughter Brunch on Saturday, 3/1, which was hosted by the PSN. This year's speaker was Debbie Binkley, Manager of The Friends Shop at The Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, who spoke on and previewed spring fashion trends.

Drumline Off to Europe
Although their plane tickets say their flight will last over seven hours, the Winter Drumline performed their 2008 show, "7 Countries in 7 Minutes", at the WGI Finals last weekend.
