Bertie Greer Strobel Joe BlackCat Reilly Last week, Bertie Strobel and Joe "BlackCat" Reilly, two longtime members of the Father Ryan family, passed away and we take a moment to celebrate their lives and recognize their impacts on ours.

Science Olympiad
While you were in bed on the last icy Saturday, the FRHS Science Olympiad team scored 8th place in regional competition - their best showing ever - despite missing half of the team due to the weather. Individual Awards were won by K Hayden and B Lee who placed 6th in Fermi Questions and 4th in Robot Ramble; by F Inkmann and R Upleger who placed 1st in Circuits Lab; and K Hayden and F Inkmann who with a perfect performance placed 1st in Storm the Castle.

Bishop of Nashville
Fr Choby Congratulations to the Most Reverend David Choby who was ordained and installed as Bishop of Nashville on Monday, February 27th at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. A 1965 graduate of Ryan, Choby will serve as the 11th bishop of Nashville. INSTALLATION»
Band Day
Band students On Wednesday, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band students from various parochials spent the day at Fr Ryan. During the day, they spent time in sectionals and performed a concert later in the evening.

Fr Tad speaks to morality students Last Friday, Father Tadeusz Pacholczyk (Father Tad) spoke about the moral and ethical issues of stem cell research and cloning to the Junior theology classes and biology classes.

Monday, 1/23, on the 33rd anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision by the Supreme Court, seven Fr Ryan students along with Mrs Lytle, Mrs Jones, and Mr McIntyre went to Washington D.C. to participate in the Walk for Life. COMING SOON»
