Bishop-elect Choby's ordination and installation mass is at 3pm on Monday, February 27th. WTVF-TV Channel 5 plans to videotape the installation Mass and show it on its cable channel, Newschannel 5+, which is cable channel 50 on the COMCAST systems. |

Mother & Daughter Brunch
The Parent School Network will host the Mother & Daughter Brunch on Saturday, 3/11, from 9-11 am in the Dining Hall. The cost is $20 per family - please pre-pay (by check) to the bookstore by Friday, March 3. This year’s speaker is Suzanne Wesley Bingham who is a FRHS alum and mother of current student. Last month, President Bush awarded Suzanne with the Presidents Volunteer Service Award. Come hear Suzanne as she presents "There's a You in Community". Limited seating, first come-first served.
In Memoriam
Last week, Bertie Strobel and Joe "BlackCat" Reilly, two longtime members of the Father Ryan family, passed away and we take a moment to celebrate their lives and recognize their impacts on ours.
Mock Trial ![]() Congratulations to the Mock Trial Team on their performance at the Davidson County Mock Trial Competition last week. Team members are A Guszak, C Harris, J Luckett, F Pickney, B Doyle, S Lambert, R Ott, M Montesi, H Halpin, N Wilson, R Dirhoff, and J Guidry. This year's coaches were Eileen Burkhalter and Eric Smith along with moderator Richard Chambers. Black History Month February is Black History Month and is a time to recognize the history and contributions of African Americans. |
Band Day
On Wednesday, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band students from various parochials spent the day at Fr Ryan. During the day, they spent time in sectionals and performed a concert later in the evening.
Science Olympiad While you were in bed on the last icy Saturday, the FRHS Science Olympiad team scored 8th place in regional competition - their best showing ever - despite missing half of the team due to the weather. Individual Awards were won by K Hayden and B Lee who placed 6th in Fermi Questions and 4th in Robot Ramble; by F Inkmann and R Upleger who placed 1st in Circuits Lab; and K Hayden and F Inkmann who with a perfect performance placed 1st in Storm the Castle.
