Milli Vanilli 2008
Milli Vanilli (a lip-sync contest) took place on Monday, 1/21. A chance for all those “pretend” singers and dancers out there to get up and lip synch their favorite songs, this year’s contest was comprised of 12 acts, with several "celebraties" - The Three Tenors, Robin Hood—Men in Tights, Alvin and the Chipmunks, the Jackson Five, Jimi Hendrix, and Brittany Spears!
        The winners were: 1st place—R Graham, E Schaeffer, M Spellman, A Abramo, and B Fleming, who performed a mix of Backstreet Boys’ songs. 2nd place went to M McCluney and D Rone and 3rd place winners were Ch Lally, S Keane, L Wigger, and MC Derrick, who performed “You Got the Best of My Love.” COMING SOON»
 
Catholic Schools Week

Tue At the game, some clubs will raise money for Operation Smile, a non-profit organization that provides free reconstructive surgery to children suffering from facial deformities such as cleft lips and cleft palates.
Wed Student Appreciation Day - come out of uniform ONLY in jeans and Father Ryan shirts. The Rachel's Challenge Club will serve hot chocolate and doughnuts in the morning.
Thu Select students represent Father Ryan at the Diocesan Mass at the Cathedral
Fri Student Council hosts Faculty & Staff Appreciation Brunch

On Sunday, 1/13, Father Ryan presented a "Rock for Darfur" concert. The student group Killer Quails opened for Mr. Walton & his Band and the group "Sosa Musica" will end the night. For those who attended the Walk for Darfur in December, Sosa Musica performed at the rally. They are an energetic band comprised of refugees from South Sudan.

  
Father & Son Breakfast

The Dining Hall was packed for the annual Father/Son Breakfast is on Saturday, 1/19. This year's guest speaker was Rudy Kalis, Sports Director for WSMV-TV, who shared experiences from his life and challenged all to cherish this time together.

Recycling @ Ryan

Recycle! It may look like a dumpster but the big green recepticle behind the theater is for recycling as Ryan goes green! CONTINUED»

Movie to Save Darfur
prayer serviceJr. class president C Harris led a prayer service before the showing of "The Devil Came on Horseback" on Wednesday night in the theater. Read more about the movie and ways to get involved at Tennessee Register.
