On Thursday, 9/6, the Father Ryan community officially kicked off the school year with a mass presided by Bishop Choby and fellow alumni priests Fathers Pat Connor, Philip Breen, Mike Johnston, Joe Breen and Steven Wolfe along with Father Mark Hunt.
After the homily, Bishop Choby blessed and commissioned the Eucharistic ministers that will be helping with many school masses this year. There was also a special commissioning ceremony for the teachers and staff as well.
