The Chess Club, headed by Mr. Jones, had set up a chess board on their table and many of those "just passing by" stopped to play.
The Purple Masque Players, along with Mrs. McClendon, were taking sign-ups for auditions for this year's fall play, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, by Alfred Uhry. The Moina, the school newspaper, displayed past issues at their stand. |

A new club, called Yearbook Freelancers, was created for those students who were not able to take Yearbook because of conflicting schedules. It allows these students to write and take photographs for the yearbook without having to take the class.
Mr. Thompson manned the Creative Writer's Club, wherein writers can hone and show off their skills in writing fictional stories, poems, original songs, and other forms of writing. The club sponsors a "coffee house" night in the spring called Irish Expressions where students can perform their works to an audience in the theater. |
