Miss "Boo" Lynch, a teacher at Fr Ryan High School for the past 10 years, died on the morning of February 28, 2002, after a prolonged illness. She will be sorely missed and long remembered by the Father Ryan community as well as those who participated in the CYO and Search programs in Nashville. On March 6, 2002, the Fr Ryan community gathered along with members of Miss Lynch's family, at a memorial service in the Field House. Students and faculty alike had the opportunity to share their memories of Boo from over the years.

During the memorial service, the Fr Ryan community created a memorial tribute that represented Miss Lynch's life at Fr Ryan: her involvement in the Cooperative Support Program (CSP), her devotion as a teacher, her love of athletics and work with the cheerleaders, and the example of her faith that she shared each day with those around her. |

Mr Langton presented Mrs. Donna Lynch and Boo's nephew D Lynch, members of the Lynch family and the Fr Ryan community, with a memory book about Boo that had been signed by students, faculty, and staff. In Miss Lynch's honor, an alabaster crucifix was blessed and has been hung in the Field House. You may help remember Boo through a donation to the Father Ryan Endowment Fund or the American Cancer Society.
