1)  Fundraising committee-This commmittee will work directly with the Fundrising   chairs and the commmittee to raise money for the Shelter through an annual fundraiser,   individual/corporate contributions, solicitations from religious organizations and for thos   who are interested, you can get some hands on experience with grant writing.
  a) Miniature Golf Fundraiser on October 10, 1998
  b) Develop your own fundraiser with the support of our Board
2)  Meals Committee-This commmittee is responsible for putting together the meal and menu to be served by SOUL once a month. This meal is a dinner which will feed up to 25-30 people.
  a) Be creative with the menu. You decide what to serve to the families.
  b) Solicit resturaunts and grocers to get food donated. (Kroger will typically give $200
    in food donations for just asking.)
  c) Organize SOUL so that a group of five or six is there to serve dinner at one tim.
3)  Special Events Committee-This committee will set up and organize all group related activities that do not fall under the fundraising umbrella. For example:
  a) Christmas Party- December 13, 1998
  b) Alumni Appreciation
  c) Decorating and sometimes holding parties for the children on various holidays
  d) Straightening up and sorting through the clothes and food in the basement
4) Educational Committee-This committee will develop planned activities to instruct   children at the Shelter one night a week. We are not asking you to baby-sit, but to &nsbp interact with the children. For example:
  a) Stroytelling, games, or arts and crafts to teach the children lessons on things such as:
  -manners
  -friends
  -family
  -telling the truth
  -dangers of drugs
  b) Be creative. The possibilities for this committee are endless.
