Father James A. Black |
|
Father Black was a very special part of Father Ryan. He inspired many to love knowledge, discipline, and wisdom. He was born on Feburary 26, 1946, and he died on September 25, 1984. He lived a short life, but he accomplished many things. He was an author, a religious columnist, a teacher, academic dean, photographer, pilot, and (of course) a priest. He worked hard to enrich the lives of others, he always shared his talents. He was truly a great servant of the Lord.
His biggest obstacle in life came when he was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors said that he didn't have much time to live, but he went through seventeen operations. He never gave up hope, even after cancer had ravaged his body his spirit was strong. |
