" Lent is the perfect opportunity to reflect on our own blessings
and to make giving and service a priority in our lives." During this Lenten season, Father Ryan students have been working on two community service projects: Project Iraq to support troops in Iraq and the Haitian Carnival to support our sister school in Haiti.

ADOPT A SOLDIER or ADOPT A BOX ( list of items )In an effort to support our troops and fully embrace the Lenten Season "Project Iraq" has been established to aid our troops by sending boxes filled with basic supplies and sending letters to fill their souls with support, hope and prayer. Each first period classroom has received a list of supplies to fill two boxes that will be mailed to troops. Families are encouraged to do this as a family project as well. Postage will be $7.70 per box and we hope to have all boxes shipped out before Easter. You may also want to pick up a list of soldiers names and addresses and show your support through letter - have the kids or co-workers join in too! E-mail Karla Loftus to obtain a list of names and addresses. Monetary donations will be accepted to offset the cost of mailing the student boxes and purchasing phone cards for the soldiers.
