Sarah began teaching in 1965 in a federal program for disadvantaged students in a rural county in Mississippi. She was junior high school librarian in the New Albany, Mississippi public school system and taught fourth and fifth grade math and science in Senatobia, Mississippi until 1970. In 1980, Sarah directed a federal job program for disadvantaged students for the public school system in Milan, Tennessee. In 1984, she worked as an academic advisor for undergraduate students at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and then became Senior Counselor and Director of College Counseling at Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock Arkansas until 2000. In January, she moved to Nashville and became a College Counselor at Father Ryan High School. Sarah was named Director of College Counseling in the fall of 2001. She is a member of SACAC (Southern Association of College Admission Counseling) and NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling). |
