A 1964 graduate of Father Ryan, John began his teaching career in 1970 with the Metropolitan Public Schools teaching eighth grade American History. He came to Father Ryan High School in the 1971-72 school year and taught American History, World History, and Economics until 1985. 

From 1985 to the present, John has worked as a Guidance counselor and was named the Director of Guidance in 1995.  He is beginning his thirty sixth year at Father Ryan.  John is also in charge of gates, concessions, and security for home athletic events for football, basketball, and wrestling.
